Vivalink expands medical wearable data platform with enhanced temperature and heart monitor

Campbell, California, June 30, 2021/PRNewswire/ – Vivalink, a leading provider of connected healthcare solutions known for its unique medical wearable sensor data platform, today announced the launch of a new enhanced temperature and heart Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor.
The newly enhanced sensors have been adopted by more than 100 healthcare application partners and customers in 25 countries/regions, and are part of the Vivalink vital signs data platform, which consists of a wide range of medical wearable sensors, edge network technologies and cloud data services composition. These sensors are designed for remote patient monitoring, virtual hospitals and decentralized clinical trials, and are designed for remote and mobile situations.
The new temperature monitor now has an on-board cache, which can store up to 20 hours of continuous data even when the network is disconnected, which is common in remote and mobile environments. The reusable display can be used for up to 21 days on a single charge, which is an increase from the previous 7 days. In addition, the temperature monitor has a stronger network signal-twice as much as before-ensuring a better connection in remote situations.
Compared with the previous 72 hours, the enhanced reusable cardiac ECG monitor can be used for up to 120 hours per charge and has a 96-hour extended data cache-a 4 times increase compared to before. In addition, it has a stronger network signal, and the data transmission speed is 8 times faster than before.
Temperature and cardiac ECG monitors are part of a series of wearable sensors that can capture and provide various physiological parameters and vital signs, such as ECG rhythm, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc.
“In the past two years, we have seen a significant increase in demand for technical solutions for remote patient monitoring and decentralized clinical trials,” said Jiang Li, CEO of Vivalink. “In order to meet the unique data requirements of remote and dynamic monitoring, Vivalink continuously strives to improve data integrity in the end-to-end data delivery path from the patient at home to the application in the cloud.”
In the pharmaceutical industry, since the pandemic, the demand for remote monitoring technology in decentralized clinical trials has steadily increased. This is due to the reluctance of patients to see a doctor in person and the general desire of the pharmaceutical industry to use remote monitoring to speed up the test process.
For healthcare providers, remote patient monitoring resolves patients’ concerns about in-person visits and provides providers with an alternative method of staying in touch with patients and a continuous source of income.
About Vivalink Vivalink is a provider of connected healthcare solutions for remote patient monitoring. We use unique physiologically optimized medical wearable sensors and data services to establish a deeper and more clinical relationship between providers and patients.
