Utah, June 28, 2021 (Gephardt Daily)—The Utah Department of Health released a list of free COVID-19 testing sites and called for the importance of being tested.
The statement said: “The pandemic is not over yet.” “In fact, now that new variants are spreading, and some are even more spreading, finding out if you are positive and isolating can prevent you from exposing others.
It said that the number of people tested for COVID-19 in Utah has dropped sharply in recent months, and public health officials want to remind everyone that testing is still important in this response. COVID-19 testing has dropped from 32,536 tests conducted statewide in the week of November 19, 2020 to 5,894 tests conducted statewide in the week of June 14, 2021.
“If you have symptoms and test positive, you can isolate and stay away from others. Except for medical care, please stay at home. Visit https://coronavirus.utah.gov/protect-yourself/ for more information.”
The following test sites are available in Utah this week. All of these test sites provide tests for children three years of age and older.
Note: Many test locations will be closed on Saturday, July 3 and Monday, July 5 to commemorate Independence Day.
Test results from the TestUtah site will be sent via email with a link to the patient portal where the results can be accessed. For questions about accessing TestUtah results, please call (801) 683-0790.
From 30 minutes to several hours after the test is completed, the test results of these locations will be emailed to you from CV19result@utah.gov via encrypted files. If the test site is very busy, it may take a while to process your results. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check spam or junk mail. Or try to open the email in non-app browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and computers or non-mobile devices. If you encounter problems opening the email or do not receive it within a few hours, please call 385-273-7878 for help.
In order to get the most accurate results, we recommend PCR testing for people who have no symptoms. PCR results can be obtained within two to three working days. Antigen (fast) results can be obtained within two hours.
