Small businesses in Edinburgh can use the free COVID-19 rapid test kit

The Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has provided free COVID-19 rapid test kits for small businesses in the city.
Pedro Salazar, chief operating officer of Red Square Dental and Orthodontics, said the kits helped keep the door to his Edinburgh office open.
Salazar said: “For someone in a small business to test positive, it must be closed.” “They must be closed for two weeks.”
The Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce is one of eight chambers of commerce selected by the Texas Emergency Management Department to participate in the pilot program across the state.
In December last year, the city received 16 kits, each of which required 40 tests-enough for 16 Edinburgh companies to participate.
Since then, the state has opened the program to all chambers of commerce, providing more toolkits for small businesses.
The test is free, but participating companies must complete online training to be certified by the Texas Emergency Management Department, handle the test correctly and report all results online.
Rani, executive director of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are together.” “We need to make sure that we can move forward as a community.”
