March 11th 2021 is the 16th World Kidney Day, and this year’s theme is “Living Well with Kidney Disease”.

World Kidney Day aims to raise awareness among patients with kidney diseases, hope to improve people's understanding of kidney diseases, receive regular screening for kidney diseases for early prevention and treatment of kidney diseases.

According to statistics of three major kidney disease academic groups in Europe and the United States, over 850 million people worldwide have chronic kidney diseases. KDIGO (Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes) suggests that, patients with confirmed kidney diseases should examine renal function and do routine urine test for at least 2 times a year. Healthy people also need regular annual checks.
